PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone) is a newly discovered micronutrient that is naturally found in foods such as soybeans, parsley,
and green pepper. It is found in numerous bacteria and plays extremely important roles in plant biology. Perhaps the most
intriguing revelation is that PQQ seems to have been identified in interstellar dust, suggesting that it has been travelling
between the stars since before our planet and solar system formed.
Recent research has revealed that PQQ may be extremely useful for animals, as well. In fact, it may well be a newly discovered
vitamin — i.e., a substance required by the body but not made there. Experiments with rodents shows that adding 100-200 µg
PQQ/kg to purified diets improves growth, development, and reproductive parameters. PQQ promotes the generation of mitochondria — the energy-producing "factories" in cells. Preclinical work indicates that
PQQ is a potent enhancer of nerve regeneration. It is therefore of great interest in human neurological health.
What we can’t tell you

and let you draw your own conclusions about what medical conditions it may be effective in treating.
Clinical studies suggest that PQQ may improve cognitive function, contribute to slowing the aging process, and stimulate neural

- cancers of the nervous system
- protection from radiation
