Interviews with Bruce Ames and Judith Campisi — anti-aging researchers
The people at LifeLink and many of their customers have been intensely interested in the anti-aging research being conducted
by the group led by Bruce Ames at the University of California at Berkeley. (A number of articles on the subject are located
on the LifeLink website in the “Reference Articles” section.)
A nice pair of interviews — one with Bruce Ames and the other with researcher Judith Campisi at Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory — were published recently in the Star-Ledger of Newark, New Jersey. Ames is working on reversing the aging of mitochondria
(the energy converter found in living cells), whereas Campisi is working on reversing the aging of cells due to lack of telomerase
(the enzyme that prevents the shortening of chromosomes).
