Australian study shows anti-viral benefits of colostrum
Colostrum — the pre-milk fluid produced by mammal mothers after giving birth — has been used as an immune system booster and
anti-viral for many years, largely on the basis of anecdotal evidence. A recent study in Australia has provided harder evidence
for its ability to counteract colds and flu. The experiment involved 200 people half of whom consumed 60 g/day of cow colostrum
as a supplement and were reported to have experienced far fewer infections of the upper respiratory tract. Unfortunately the
study appears not to have been published yet, so we shall have to be content with the news article about it.
