The scramble for new muscle-building supplements
Several new muscle-building supplements are causing turmoil both in the supplement industry and in the “Anti” Movement (the
loose alliance of totalitarian-minded people who see illegalization as the answer to every problem, real or imagined).
The supplements in question, known generically as delta-1 androstenes, have just barely reached the market and already there
are shortages because of high demand. Three of these compounds are receiving the most attention; they are commonly called
“1-Testosterone”, “4-Hydroxy-testosterone”, and “1-Androstenediol”.
Suppliers are scrambling to keep these products in stock, and freedom-hating legislators are scrambling to make them illegal.
The knowledge that it may soon become a crime to sell or possess these new anabolic supplements has created a chaotic and
undesirable situation: manufacturers feel pressured to manufacture them quickly, retailers feel pressured to sell them quickly,
and users feel pressured to buy up as much as they can afford before these products become an expensive, unreliable, risky,
black-market item.
Why is the government in such a hurry to ban these remarkable new anabolics? Is it because they have been shown to be dangerous?
No, it is because they work so well and have no known side effects. Government officials have developed an arrogance so deep
that they no longer bother to pretend that a substance poses a danger to the public or to users — they simply take it for
granted that they have the right to ban any substance that gets bad press … and they make sure that certain supplements do
get bad press!
Meanwhile, athletes and other people who want their bodies to perform and feel well are stocking up on 1-Testosterone and
1-Androstenediol, accepting the fact that they may soon be committing a felony every time they swallow a capsule.
