ChoLESStat

ChoLESStat is a mixture of six different kinds of cholesterol-controlling agents:

  • Niacin — a B-vitamin (B-3) with a substantial history of use for preventing atherosclerosis. Studies have shown that niacin lowers LDL (‘bad’) cholesterol and is particularly good at raising HDL (‘good’) cholesterol.
  • Flavonoids and other polyphenols (from citrus and olives) — shown in clinical trials to improve HDL-to-LDL cholesterol ratios
  • Guggul extract — from resin of the Commiphora mukul tree. In clinical trials guggul extracts lowered LDL levels and triglycerides.
  • Beta-sitosterol and other phytosterols — plant-derived steroidal substances with chemical structures similar to that of cholesterol. Phytosterols can block absorption of cholesterol from the digestive tract, thereby lowering their levels in the blood.
  • Inositol Hexanicotinate — a good cholesterol-lowering compound used prior to the 1980s when it was eclipsed by more expensive treatments
  • Policosanol — a mixture of alcohols from sugar cane wax that in clinical trials showed cholesterol-regulating properties comparable to statin drugs (such as Lipitor®).

Each of the components of ChoLESSstat have shown substantial cholesterol-improving properties in clinical trials, and some of them outperformed the latest prescription drugs in both efficacy and safety. Since their mechanisms of action differ from one another, they are expected to work together synergistically to achieve an even better cholesterol profile.

The suggested dose is two capsules per day.
